NUT debate play in school and express concern over what used in the 1920s to be called 'dilution' - the employment of untrained staff. After a long struggle, untrained staff were no longer employed in schools by the 1980s. New Labour however, has turned the clock back and as previously, untrained staff are felt particularly suitable in early years. BBC NEWS | Education | Teachers want play-based learning
